Winona's Ryan Walch was submarined by Missouri Western's Eric Walker at the one yard line in the second overtime.

Western's Jerris Evans (7) and Darwin Pitts (4) celebrate Evans' 25 yard TD reception from Kasey Waterman in the first overtime.

Winona State defeated Missouri Western 43-41 in a triple overtime Mineral Water Bowl classic.

It was tied 21-21 after 60 minutes when the two teams matched touchdowns through three overtimes that had everyone in the stadium standing.

The Warriors used a strong running attack to keep the ball away from the high scoring Griffon offense. But Kasey Waterman threw three TD passes, two to Jerris Evans.

Winona's Jeff Dobbertin caught three TD passes and the deciding two point conversion while running back Kevin Curtin rushed for 135 yards.
